SWEeties Mentorship Program

About the Program

SWEeties is a peer mentoring program that strives to improve the retention of female engineering students by supporting students through continuous mentoring, networking, and professional development training.

A great way for freshman and transfer students to get know campus & SWE, & for upperclassmen to be involved and give back to their community.

To learn more information or how to get involved, please contact the SWEeties Communication Chair at utkswe.sweeties@gmail.com!

“The SWEeties program is one of the best ways to meet other passionate young women and get involved in SWE. It has allowed me to share insightful information with women who are in the shoes I wore only a year or two prior!”

— Bella Macher: Mentor(2021-Present), Mentee(2020-2021)

“Being apart of the SWEeties Mentorship program as both a mentor and mentee as been an invaluable part of my college career. The various goals that we complete are helpful for the entirety of one’s duration in school and their career!”

— Juliana Broussard: Mentor(2021-Present), Mentee(2020-2021)

“Having a mentor during my freshman year made our big campus seem smaller, and I was able to have so many questions answered by someone who has gone through some of the same experiences as me. As a mentor, I loved passing down some of that knowledge and making a new friend on campus!”

— Isha Bhandari: Mentor(2022-Present), Mentee(2021-2022)
