UTK SWE offers a variety of professional events in order prepare members for their future careers, internships, and other opportunities.
Evening with Industry allows student to connect with companies at a stress free event before the Engineering Expo. We normally offer Hor d’oeuvres and allow students to rotate around to maximize their experience and networking!
Companies present a brief overview of the company and opportunities to intern and work with them before hosting a workshop on a variety of topics!

Members have the opportunity to attend SWE National Conference! WE is the World’s Largest Conference for Women in Engineering and Technology!
At conference, members attend different professional development workshops on various topics, network, and attend the career fair. Additionally, members have the opportunity to apply to the Collegiate Leadership Institute that pays for a member’s conference ticket.
This year WE23 will be in Los Angeles, CA from October 26-28!
This past year we had 16 members attend WE22 in Houston, TX!
We work with other organizations to host a workshop where students can get their resumes reviewed, practice interview skills, have a professional headshot taken, and look through Smokey’s Closet for business clothes.
